Batches
Every 10 minutes, all new trade events are hashed into one Merkle root. Each root is committed with its event range and the previous root, forming a chain. Any single trade can be proven against its root with an inclusion proof. One root covers every trader, so nothing on-chain reveals who traded what.
Receipts and proofs
| What it is | What it proves | |
|---|---|---|
| Receipt | A signed note from Over the moment your trade is accepted | Over accepted the trade, even if it later goes missing from the records |
| Merkle proof | A short list of hashes linking your trade to an on-chain root | The trade was sealed at that time and hasn’t changed since |
Both stay in your account. Each trade also carries a random value, so no one can guess a trade and check it against the public roots.
Storage
Full trade records stay in Over’s storage and are yours to export. Personal data and review notes never go into the evidence.
